25° Tonight in New Orleans
We need more men & women to step up to the plate rather than putting it all on government while turning a blind eye to our homeless neighbors that need a way to get out of the bitter cold
25° TONIGHT!
Getting the homeless indoors may be a literal matter of life or death when it gets this cold in a tropical climate like ours.
My Overnight Shelter is one option: open
11pm-sunrise tonight inside the front lobby of the New Orleans Healing Center at 2372 St. Claude Ave.
When it gets this cold; with possible snow and sleet, only the hardest hearts ignore the threat before us.
We have had individuals die during freezing weather; either found outside or after a fire in a vacant building. Is it too much to ask that we avoid this outcome tonight?

Pearl Harbor Day Dec 7th
Today is Pearl Harbor Day, the day when the USA was attacked at th Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii.
This was the event that brought the United States into the battles of WW2.
Talk to your elders & if possible get them to talk on video camera about what they remember of the times during WW2 & afterwards & share the video on youtube.
Each year we lose more and more of our elders who actually lived through that time & our youth are not being taught about our history like we were.

Tomorrow is Election Day Nov 7th 2017
It has been a long campaign season and tomorrow it will end when the polls open at 6am until they close at 8pm and the votes are counted.
Met many people in Hartford, Bloomfield and Windsor as well as others from across Connecticut. I enjoy meeting people in the state whether they are in my district or in another persons district where I am helping.
Lot’s of discussions about harmful regulations and the oppressive taxes and what can or should be done to fix our state and our cities and our towns.
Tomorrow is The Day why so many people put in many hours of hard work and I thank each and every one of you that have worked to educate the people about the candidates that are running for office.
Tomorrow is Election Day 2017 and it is the day where we chose the direction of the country, the state and our cities and towns.
The choices are quite distinct to choose to go down the same path towards the destruction of our nation with old socialist / communist policies that have never worked; or we can chose to go in a new direction and turn towards policies and principles that will #MakeWindsorCTGreatAgain .#MakeCTGreatAgain and #MakeAmericaGreatAgain
We will choose to Vote for new Mayors and City-Town Councilors to represent us at the city halls and choosing the direction of our schools with the Board of Ed candidates.
I hope and pray that each of you WILL Get Out To VOTE Row B
Then when you get out in the parking lot that you call those in your household to remind them to get out to vote if they have not voted yet.
CT is in need of a change of direction, we need your help in making that change happen.
If you have a couple of hours to volunteer please give a call; we can use any and all assistance tomorrow.
We need people out on locations through out the state & we have things for people who are housebound to be able to assist as well.
The only way that we can have a #FreshNewStart is if we Vote Out Incumbents that are career politicians who are raising our taxes and wasting our money on special projects for their crony corporate friends…
To get out of this mess we need New People with New Ideas and who know what it is like to live under the oppressive rules and regulations.

Taxation Is Theft?
I’m not happy with taxes increasing like most people who have to pay them; but when does it become THEFT vs Necessity as a Part of living in a civilized society?
Our elected officials seem to have a serious problem telling the difference between what is a WANT and what is a NEED for the state of CT…
This seems to be an extremely painful problem for our families who have to suffer under the increasing taxes to pay for all of the Fun but Not Needed Wants that the democrats want to keep imposing upon us
A big part of our budget problem in CT are all of the special projects that fall in the “Fun BUT… It’s Only a WANT” category like Pipedream Fancy “Tunnels Under the River”, Fancy Busway Bus Stops for almost empty buses that create traffic jams downtown while doing little to relieve the traffic problems that we were told they would do all to great expense to our families…
So now our poorest children will be punished because their lunches, sodas and the grocery bags that their parents use to bring home the groceries will have added taxes on them to cover the subsidies that the governor has given out to his special friends & the projects that they want to force upon us.

CT Tax Freedom Day Rally
Are you going to be there on Sunday the 21st for the CT Tax Freedom Rally?
While April 24, 2017 is the National average date, of when Americans have finally earned enough to pay for their portion of Federal, State, and local taxes – CT is the last state to reach that marker…27 days later. It comes down to about 38% of our yearly income. The next closest state is NJ which is May 12th.
Granted, the Federal government has increased some of the taxes we pay, and has pushed our Tax Freedom Day back. Unfortunately for CT, over the past 6 yrs, CT residents and businesses have seen two $2 Billion tax increase budgets, courtesy of the Democrat Trifecta in CT, which moved us even further back. In 2010, the National TFD average was April 9th and CT was April 27th, a 16 day difference. At the time, it was about 32% of our yearly income.
